CLE Self-Study Patents Primer Course

While this course is great review for patent attorneys, it is extremely beneficial for other types of corporate attorneys, including trademark, copyright, entertainment and general corporate attorneys. All corporate clients are interested in perfecting and maintaining intellectual property and their corporate attorneys should know the basics of patent law. Oftentimes corporate clients do not learn the basics until they are counseled by a patent attorney, which in many cases may be too late to protect their otherwise patentable intellectual property. A corporate attorney who knows the basics of Bar Date law would be able to quickly counsel their corporate client to avoid Bar Dates and therefore may help add value to their corporate client’s intellectual property law portfolio, even before their client receives advice from a patent attorney.
